November Sunday Club Meeting

Alice Porter is always a delight and she charmed us with her carving knowledge again. Few of us were very familiar with Arbortech equipment, which she has used for many years. In fact she used to be a sales representative for the company. She brought and demonstrated many of their products.

Minutes of November 21st Club Meeting

The November meeting was presided over by President Jody Warren. She said that there were thirty people at the Denver carving session on Saturday, November 20th. She thanked Bradd McMartin and Stewart Grapp for their leadership.

The Christmas party at Junie's on December 5th was discussed and Dick Hanson asked for a head count on how many would be there.

Mary Lou Snyder brought two guests, Carolyn Drennan and Maurine Kemmerer. They joined the club.

Bob Olson, club librarian, reported that there are 6 or 7 tapes out and that there are 2 tapes missing. He called for a show of hands of how many members have DVD players and said in the future maybe he would purchase DVD's.

Dick Hanson gave the treasurer's report. We had expenses of $228.01 and deposits totaling $747.96 leaving a balance of $4046.29.

Dick will check with Mike Gale on cost of room at WCA for Saturday carving. Dave Kaiser said he would check on room at Hawkeye Community College.

Tools for beginners were discussed. Jody thought that keeping track of club tools could be a problem.

Following Show & Tell the meeting was adjourned and we sang Happy Birthday to Alice Porter. Alice presented a very informative program on Arbortech.
